I think Charlie went to visit the Warren State Home so that he had an idea of where he would be living and how the building, area, and people were. I think he also went to see how other handicapped people were, and acted.
I think that he wanted to go see Warren State Home because he used to live there. He hadn't been there for such a long time that he had forgot how it looked inside. He never knew that there was only 2 people that took care of the people because last time he was there he was dumb and when he went there this time he was very smart. He probably also wanted to see if he remembered anyone from there that he knew.
