I think that there will be a lot of articles in the newspaper and such about Charlie. After reading the newspapers and seeing the articles, I think that eventually Matt will realize that the man who came in for the works, was his son. I imagine that Matt will be mad at himself for not realizing who Charlie was. Rose and Norma may have also called Matt to tell him the news after Charlie's visit over there. I think that, after a while, Matt will come to the conclusion that Charlie was his son.
