Do you think that Charlie was taken from his parents randomly and the man said that he was his uncle, or do you think that it was actually his uncle that took him from the family?
Personally, I think it was actually Charlie's uncle that looked after him after he was taken away from his family. Owing to the fact that Charlie's father always stood out for him, it would make sense that someone on his side of the family would shelter Charlie and make sure he had the tools in life to survive; a job and somewhere to live. Also, there is evidence in the story that supports the fact that it was his uncle, such as conversations with Mr. Donner and memories during higher instances of intelligence.
